APPLICANT CERTIFIES EXEMPTION PER IDAHO STATUE 54-5205) (MAIN STREET BISTRO, HOOKA BAR, OFFICE & SALES/DISPLAY- 2ND FLR REMODEL) **AS-BUILT PLAN MODIFICATION2/20/07. THREE AREAS ORIGINALLY LABELED AS PRIVATE SMOKING ROOMS WERE CHANGED TO BE A BAR, STORAGE & OFFICE. tHE SIZE OF THE SALES AREA WAS REDUCED TO ALLOW 10 SEATS FOR SMOKING GROUPS. THE TOTAL OCCUPANT LOAD OF THE SECOND FLOOR WAS REDUCED BY 10.** THE ATTACHED PLAN REVIEW CONDITIONS REMAIN THE SAME AS ORIGINAL. This building is fully sprinklered. To modify the use of the second floor, (approved plans on file for use as dining area for Louie's Restaurant in 1985, fiche #952884) for an assembly occupancy use Hooka Bar, Retail Sales/Display & Office expansion. Work includes 3/4 hour fire assembly protection of openings onto existing fire escape that will serve as one of the required exits (Sec. 3404 IBC); to provide a new exhaust energy recovery mechanical unit in place of existing roof unit to meet special exhaust needs of a smoking lounge per 2003 IMC, and associated ductwork; to add new handrails at existing interior stairs per plan; to modify restroom doors to improve accessibility; change out door hardware as needed to meet exiting requirements from all areas and modify fire escape system as needed to comply with most restrictive requirements of Sec. 402.5, 1994 UCBC & Sec. 3404, 2003 IBC. To post a maximum floor load sign of 65 PSF for Floor Area #2 & 100 PSF for Floor Area #2 (based on engineering) and post a maximum occupant load of "58" in the Hooka Bar, based on booth seating for the 2nd floor assembly use. NO MOVABLE SEATING IS ALLOWED BASED ON DESIGN FLOOR LOAD. A new Certificate of Occupancy is required for Main Street Bistro, Hooka Bar, Sales/Display & Office Uses.
