(THE MODE BLDG - 1ST STORY & 3RD STORY) This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction of the building. To remodel portions of the 1st story and 3rd story of the Mode Building. The escalators from the 2nd story to the 3rd story will be removed and the 3rd story floor opening filled in. On the 3rd story, work is to include wood floor joists, wood floor sheathing, a corridor door, and a mechanical chase. On the 2nd story, work is to include a new guard where the removed escalators were located. On the 1st story, work is to include extending an existing 1-hr corridor to the outside, installing a new exterior storefront door and glass sidelight, altering the floor structure at the new exterior door to provide compliant landings on both sides of the door, and altering the floor structure to create a ramp to make the elevation transition between the existing interior floor level and the new landings at the new exterior door. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
