This building is fire sprinklered to substitute for 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction of the building. To remodel the building core area in the basement, on the 1st story, on the 2nd story, and on the 3rd story of the 8th Street Marketplace building located at 405 S. 8th Street. Work is to include a 156 square foot floor infill within the existing atrium, new guards, new handrails, upgraded restrooms on the 3rd story, new doors at stairway intermediate landings in the atrium at the basement and 1st story, two new exterior double doors at grade, and interior finishes. The existing 1st story wheelchair lift will be maintained. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances.
