Carport - Some of the construction documents indicate a carport on the north side of the proposed building. As indicated on the construction documents, this is a future addition and is not part of the scope of work under this building permit. A separate permit will be required to construct the carport. The future carport will need to be separated from those areas of the building required to be separted by fire barriers. First Floor: 6,225 sq. ft., Second Floor: 3,540 sq. ft.. A temporary occupancy was given with sam rogers and gordon goldsmiths permission until the missing fire hydrant is installed, in-duct detectors are installed for operation of the fire/smoke dampers, the exit discharge light is repaired at the main exit, the "Area of Refuge" sign is provided with battery backup and permanent area of refuge signs are placed. Temporary signs have been installed at this time.

See the front sheet of the city approved drawings for the required corrections which include providing the missing fire hydrant, repair the exit discharge light at the main exit, provide emergency lighting in the main lobby, repair the area of refuge sign on the second floor, provide the area of refuge communication equipment and signage, provide the occupant load sign, mount fire extinguishers and provide the fire lane signage. Also the duct smoke detectors need to be replaced with spot type detectors that are listed for the air flow. These detectors are for damper operation.
