(KRBC HOLDINGS LLC - STEELWOOD UNITS 8-10) This building is NOT fire sprinklered. To create a 8,520 square foot two story office, storage, and fabrication tenant space within a new building (5,890 square foot 1st story, 2,630 square foot 2nd story, 564 square foot 2nd story unfinished attic, 617 square foot 2nd story mechanical equipment attic, and 82 square foot enclosed stairway at the 2nd story). The 2nd story will be constructed under this permit and includes concrete footings, steel columns, wood beams, bearing walls, shear walls, TJI floor joists, wood ledgers, and wood floor sheathing. Other work includes interior nonbearing walls, 3 restrooms accessible to the disabled, 1 private restroom adaptable to the disabled, a 1-hr stairway enclosure, an open stairway, suspended acoustical ceilings, and interior finishes. An incidental use separation is required around the 2nd story storage room. Two attic areas located on the 2nd story (564 square foot unfinished attic and 617 square foot mechanical equipment attic) are considered to be attic areas because the ceiling height will be less than 5 feet tall. These attic areas do not add any floor area to this tenant space. Neither attic area is approved for storage. The duct smoke detectors have not been installed correctly. Per the plans and HVAC schedules they are not required. I gave the contractor the option to either install and test or to remove the duct smoke detectors. All other items are ok.
