This building is fully fire sprinklered for unlimited area. To construct about 3,200 square feet of covered walkway with about 240 lineal feet of new façade where a demolished portion of the building (about 102,000 square feet) formerly connected to the remainder of the building on the South side. The demolished portion was formerly occupied by "Fred Meyer" and by "Honk's 99 Cents". The demolition was done under a separate permit. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, shear walls, concrete sidewalk, concrete curb ramps, steel columns, steel beams, steel roof joists, steel roof deck, brick veneer, 3-coat exterior stucco system, storefront glazing, exterior wall, metal roofing, single ply membrane roofing, and a suspended acoustical ceiling. Curb, gutter, sidewalk, asphalt paving, and a retaining wall will be constructed along Phillippi Street in conjunction with this permit. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances.
