(CAFE RIO - EAST END OF BUILDING) (8-16-10 PLAN MODIFICATION TO CHANGE THE CURP RAMP AND TO CHANGE THE MOUNTING OF THE TRACK FOR THE ROLL-DOWN FIRE DOOR). Partial fire sprinkler system required for fire area occupant load. To remodel an existing 2,580 square foot tenant space and convert it to a restaurant with a kitchen. Work it to include 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, four (4) Type I grease hoods, one (1) Type II hood, interior decorative canopies, a suspended decorative log ceiling element, suspended acoustical ceilings, structural work to support new roof top equipment (concrete footings, steel and wood columns, steel and wood beams, etc.), kitchen equipment, a grease trap, and finishes. Transfer blocks and bottom cord sleepers will be added to the existing roof trusses as part of the structural modifications needed to support hoods and new roof top equipment. In addition, a 2-hr fire-resistance-rated fire barrier wall will be constructed to completely separate this building, the canopy included, into two separate fire areas. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire area containing this tenant space is required to be fire sprinklered in conjunction with this permit. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. Interior nonstructural demolition was done under permit BLD10-01546. **CJW**
