The North and South exterior walls will be upgraded to 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction with fire exposure expected only on the interior side of the walls. Interior bearing walls and beams will be upgraded to 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction with fire exposure expected on both sides of walls and on both sides and the bottom of beams. The ceiling will be upgraded to 1-hr fire-resistance-rated construction with fire exposure expected from below the ceiling. The basement is not approved for any occupancy, including storage, except that mechanical equipment which serves the building is allowed.
