Hewlett - Packard (Pedesrtrian Walkway Extension Smoking Shelter) - To construct approximately an 18' x 18' x 9', noncombustible, structural steel extension to the east side of the existing pedestrian walkway to act as a covered smokers shelter per reviewed plans and structural engineered design & details. Work includes a new 5 ' x 5' x 1' reinforced concrete pad; new 6' x 6' x 1/4" steel column W/ 12" x 12" x 1" base plate and (4) 3/4" x minimum 9" embed anchor bolts; (5) 6" x 6" x 1/4" perimeter beams plus center beam running E / W with (4) 4' x 4' x 1/4" HSS cross beams running N / S; structural steel decking with special inspection of welding, bolting & concrete per attached Project Start Up for Special Inspection form and structural sheets. As an extension of the existing noncombustible pedestrian walkway between Buildings #4 & #8, with sides open more than 50%, the walkway is not required to be sprinklered or have elements of fire-resitive construction.
