(ADA COUNTY JAIL - POD D EXPANSION) The fire sprinkler system is required because this building is an I-3 Occupancy. To construct a 12,639 square foot prison (7,403 square foot 1st tier and 5,236 square foot 2nd tier). Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete slab on grade floor, masonry walls, elevated concrete floors, concrete columns, elevated concrete slab with steel pan deck, steel skin cell walls filled with concrete grout, stairways, steel bar joist roof, steel roof deck, roof insulation installed on top of the roof deck, skylights, and a membrane roof covering. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the specifications, with the structural calculations, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. Required Special Inspections include concrete, expansion bolts, epoxy anchors, masonry, high strength bolting, welding, structural steel, spray fire proofing, and soils. Some site work will also be done under this permit. The upper tier floor and support structure at the cells is a deferred submittal item.
