(BORAH HIGH SCHOOL - SEISMIC ENHANCEMENT - CLASSROOM WINGS A, B, AND C) To add full depth vertical truss blocks at 12 feet on center maximum spacing around the perimeter of the roofs of Classroom Wings A, B, and C to connect the existing overbuilt trusses installed in 1998 to the exterior bearing walls of the original building constructed in the 1950s. The truss blocks will have a 2x4 frame with a structural panel nailed to the frame. The structural panels will be about 2 feet wide by about 4 feet tall. The truss blocks are shear panels intended to tie the existing overbuild trusses to the original structure at the exterior of the building, thereby, improving the ability of the building to respond appropriately to seismic loads. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The attic has a fire sprinkler system. The fire sprinkler system is required to be maintained in compliance with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. The windows for all 3 classroom wings will be replaced under permit BLD12-00612. **CJW**
