(WHITNEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL) - Classroom Addition - To construct a 2,150 square foot one story, two classroom addition at the north end of the east classroom wing. To construct a 2,510 square foot, one story, two classroom addition on the north end of the east classroom wing. The additions are constructed of metal stud walls and wood trussed roof. This permit also includes related site improvements. The building is separated into three buildings, for allowable area purposes, by two-hour fire walls. Building "A" with new addition is 14,800 square feet, contains classroom areas and is located on the northwest corner of the school. Building "B" is 4,805 square feet and contains the gymnasium, dental clinic, small office and storage areas. Building "B" is located on the south end of the school. Building "C" with the new addition is 43,335 square feet and comprises the remainder of the building. Building "C" contains the cafeteria, kitchen, administration offices, library, multi-purpose community area and classrooms. Building "C" is at maximum allowable area and no future expansion is allowed to this portion of the school. This building also contains attic mechanical spaces. This school is fully fire sprinkled. The sprinklers are used for building area increase. All construction per the approved plans and attached comment list. JCM
