(BOISE BARBER COLLEGE - TENANT EXPANSION) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To expand an existing barber college into an adjacent area. After the expansion, this tenant space will have a total floor area of about 5,959 square feet. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, and a new exterior door with sidelights. A new structural header and trimmers will be provided at the new exterior door. Since source capture exhaust is not provided, this tenant space is not allowed to have nail stations. Bill and I went over life safety requirements. One exit at the end of a short corridor, with exit sign/emergency light on the north side of the building, has been walled off and is now in an office. Also Bill is interested in possibly deleting exit signs. I deferred deleting signs and the wall changes to the plan reviewer for re-verification. We also discussed relocating signs to where they will be more visable. Door hardware is not yet complete nor is the south store front assembly.
