(SAINT ALPHONSUS ENDOSCOPY SUITE - 1ST STORY) The fire sprinkler system is used for high-rise and occupancy. To create a 9,589 square foot Endoscopy Suite (5,570 square foot remodel area plus 2,808 square foot future expansion area plus 1,211 square foot additional area) on the 1st story of Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. Only the 5,570 square foot area will be remodeled under this permit. Work is to include smoke barriers / smoke partitions, 20 minute smoke and draft control door assemblies, interior nonbearing walls, 4 single user restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior windows, interior doors, millwork, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board soffits, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Verify with the Fire Department whether quick-response sprinklers will be required to be installed throughout the smoke compartment containing the Endoscopy Suite. **CJW**
