To convert an existing 4,497 square foot tenant space from retail sales to a martial arts studio. Work is to include vertical grab bars in the existing restrooms, a “high” drinking fountain, a “low” drinking fountain, a service sink, and interior finishes. Compliant landings are required on each side of all doors. The existing roof top HVAC units will be modified to provide a total of 800 cfm of outside air. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**

Check status. Tenant vacated?. Tenant not yet vacated. per conversation with Jonathan Welch, business has been sold to a new owner. New owner is actively looking for a new reatail space while also negotiating with current building owner to stay at make space code compliant. I noted to jonathan that since building has been sold, a new permit and set of plans is required to be submitted to planning for review and approval. Jonathan also noted that at the moment, the business is closed. Another inspection has been scheduled for June 19th.

Panic hardware at the front and rear exit doors and ADA hardware on the interior doors is not installed per the approved plans. Per the building inspector he will cover these items.

Mount fire extinguishers as discussed, provide exit discharge lights, provide additional exit sign/emergency light to rear exit as per plan, provide quick responce sprinkler heads per project scope of work, provide sprinkler modifications as required (sprinkler heads too close to one another).

Meet with jonathan on site to go over progress made. Work is in progress. Tenants have contracted an electrician to install the required exit signs, orepak is repairing the main exit and providing panic hardware on rear exit. Fire extinguishers have been purchased and need to be installed as per approved plan. Tenant is also going to get verification that the work done to existing HVAC units has been completed to provide the additional CFM as required. Per tenant, January will be first "rent free" month.
