(JACKSON'S STORE 119 - REMODEL AND ADDITION) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To remodel an existing convenience store and to construct a 400 square foot addition. After the addition and including the 320 square foot canopy, this building will have a total floor area of about 3,000 square feet. Work is to include a restroom accessible to the disabled, walk-in coolers, a walk-in freezer, millwork, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board ceilings and soffits, R-20 continuous insulation installed on top of the existing roof deck, a new membrane roof covering, new storefront windows and door, and interior finishes. The addition includes masonry exterior walls, wood ledgers, wood roof joists, wood roof sheathing, continuous exterior wall insulation, R-20 insulation installed on top of the roof deck, a membrane roof covering, and an exterior door. Exterior work includes 3-coat wall plaster, EPS decorative bands, cultured stone, new parapets installed at the end of the existing roof cantilever, new prefabricated metal awnings installed at the end of the existing roof cantilever, decorative parapets, and a new trash enclosure. The design and attachment of the new prefabricated metal awnings are deferred submittal items. Upgrade work includes attaching the existing roof diaphragm to the existing exterior walls with epoxy anchors and steel straps and constructing a 30 inch high fire-resistance-rated parapet on the West wall. Special inspection is required for soils, concrete, masonry, welding, and epoxy anchors. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
