(LAKEWOOD MONTESSORI SCHOOL - PARTIAL DEMOLITION AND NEW EXTERIOR WALL) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To demolish the 2,992 square foot former church sanctuary of an existing building. The entire building is now used as a school. This building is no longer used as a church. After the partial demolition work, this building will have a total floor area of about 10,240 square feet. The existing concrete slab and below grade foundation at the demolished portion will remain. Hazards associated with plenums located below or within the concrete slab are required to be eliminated. Work is to include new concrete footings, a new concrete foundation, new tube steel columns, a new exterior wall, new shear walls with hold downs, new exterior windows, a new roof overbuild, a new exterior double leaf main entry door, an exterior wall infill at a door opening, and a new concrete sidewalk. Special inspection is required for welding, epoxy anchors, expansion anchors, and concrete. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. Each classroom has an exit door directly to the outside. This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. The fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
