(JACKSON'S STORE 46 - REMODEL AND ADDITION) (MODIFICATION TO CONSTRUCT A NEW SIGN PARAPET ABOVE THE WEST EXTERIOR WALL, EXTEND THE HEIGHT OF THE OTHER WEST PARAPETS, INSTALL NEW AWNINGS AT THE WEST EXTERIOR WALL, RELOCATE THE VENTS SERVING THE FUEL STATIONS, CONSTRUCT A NEW FENCE AND GATE, AND MODIFY THE LANDSCAPING. THE DESIGN AND ATTACHMENT OF THE NEW AWNINGS ARE DEFERRED SUBMITTAL ITEMS.) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To remodel an existing convenience store and to construct a 389 square foot addition. After the addition, this building will have a total floor area of about 2,968 square feet (307 sq. ft. canopy, 389 sq. ft. addition, 2,272 sq. ft. existing building). For the addition, work is to include masonry exterior walls, wood joists, wood sheathing, insulation installed on top of the roof deck, an opaque exterior door, and a single ply roofing membrane. Other work includes a restroom accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, a new doorway in an existing masonry wall, new storefront glazing, a new double leaf entrance door, new wood columns, walk-in coolers, a walk-in freezer, new exterior finishes (plaster, rock veneer, etc.), new sign awnings, connections between the existing West and the East exterior walls and the existing roof diaphragm, millwork, and finishes. Special inspection is required for soils, masonry, concrete, welding, and epoxy anchors. The existing West canopy will be removed. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The design and attachment of the new sign awnings is a deferred submittal item. **CJW**
