The occupant load of the entire building will exceed 100. To avoid installing a fire sprinkler system, two fire areas will be created. The A-2 fire area will have a floor area of about 1,465 square feet and an occupant load of 71. The F-1, S-1, and B fire area will have a floor area of about 7,176 square feet and an occupant load of 52. Work is to include 3-hr fire barrier walls, 3-hr fire doors, a 1-hr incidental use separation with a 60 minute fire door, 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, interior doors, new exterior windows, new exterior doors, an alcove at an exterior door, a new awning, a parking space accessible to the disabled, and new exterior landings at doors. Special Inspection is required for welding and masonry anchors.
