(4-PLEX & CARPORT FIRE REPAIR) To repair an existing Fire damaged, 3,188 square foot, one story, wood framed, four unit apartment building and replace/construct a new 864 square foot carport. The majority of the Fire damage occurred to units A and B. Work to include: replace roof trusses and decking on 2 units; provide a new draftstop separating the attic areas; remove and replace fire damaged wall-framing members; replace the non-structural exterior wall built on top of the brick masonry for a length of approximately 10 feet; remove existing roofing from the entire roof and apply new roofing; remove the existing interior wall and replace with a new beam at the common entry; replace all aluminum windows with new vinyl; refinish all 4 units with floor coverings, paint, cabinets, electrical, plumbing and lighting as required; and miscellaneous finish work. One-hour dwelling unit separation is required in areas of drywall replacement. All electrical, plumbing and mechanical work per applicable codes and require separate permits. The installation of smoke detectors are required and are to be installed in all sleeping rooms and access hallways providing access to sleeping rooms. All work per the approved plans, attached Engineering, and the structural inspectors final approval. A life safety inspection shall be completed prior to issuance of a new certificate of occupancy.
