(BOISE ART GLASS - FIRE FUSION STUDIO) Fire sprinklers used for story increase. To convert a former 8,445 square foot bar/lounge/nightclub (5,795 square foot 1st story, 180 square foot mezzanine, and 2,470 square foot 2nd story) to a glass art studio and a metal art studio. Metal artwork will be created within the metal studios. One metal studio will be enclosed for noise isolation. Glass artwork will be created within the glass studios. Completed artwork will be displayed for sale within the retail areas. Metal working tools and activities will include enameling kilns, a pottery kiln, welding, soldering, grinding, sanding, drilling, fusing, cutting, and casting. Glass working tools and activities will include kilns, an annealer, and a furnace. Hoods shall be provided at equipment if required by the 2009 IMC. If hoods are provided, hoods and make-up air shall comply with the 2009 IMC. Demolition work includes removing a stairway and a portion of the mezzanine/balcony. Work includes a new storefront entry, new exterior windows, new overhead doors, interior nonbearing walls, a stairway, and accessible upgrades. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. All equipment shall be listed and labeled per the adopted Electrical Code with approval from the PDS Electrical Inspection Section. The design for the new stairway that will serve the mezzanine is a deferred submittal item. **CJW**
