(DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS) Fire sprinklers used for building area increase. To remodel an existing 18,234 square foot tenant space located within an existing 18,688 square foot building for a new office tenant. Work is to include new 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, interior nonbearing walls, suspended ceilings, new exterior windows, new exterior doors, new exterior wall infills, new interior doors, new interior windows, suspended acoustical ceilings, and interior finishes. Existing restrooms are required to be maintained accessible to the disabled. Structural work includes installing columns at new exterior openings to resist out-of-plane loads and changes to the roof structure to support new roof top HVAC equipment. Special Inspection is required for welding and for epoxy anchors installed in concrete. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**

Project was not ready for a final yet. Scott Arellano and I discussed the two gates on the west side of the bulding and scott ultimately approved their location and width. Fire sprinkler permit is complete. Per Carl Westfall no locking mechanisam can impede exiting so a delay locks can not be installed. They can only sound an alarm upon unauthorized access.
