(HEWLETT PACKARD – BUILDING #2 – 1ST STORY) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase. To construct a 305 square foot equipment room and two 94 square foot focus rooms. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, interior doors and tempered glass sidelights, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board soffits, and finishes. Additional cooling will be installed to serve the equipment room to remove excessive heat generated by computer servers. If the racks exceed 8 feet tall, a separate racking permit is required. The equipment room is NOT approved as a battery room. The existing UPS system that will serve the equipment is provided elsewhere in the building. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The structural analysis of the existing floor to verify its ability to support the added dead load of equipment is a deferred submittal item. The structural design for strengthening the floor to support the added dead load, if that is required, is also a deferred submittal item. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
