(IKASTOLA PRESCHOOL – CONVERT HOUSE TO CHILDCARE) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To convert an existing 1,495 square foot single family dwelling into a commercial childcare facility. Children that are 2.5 years of age or less are allowed only in the room having exterior doors directly to the outside. Interior demolition is also covered under this permit. No more than 27 children are allowed by CUP15-00014. Work is to include interior nonbearing walls, 2 restrooms accessible to the disabled, a new exterior concrete ramp and handrails, handrails to serve existing exterior steps, interior doors, and finishes. Removed interior bearing walls will be replaced with beams and columns to support the roof structure. Structural work is to include concrete footings, wood columns, and wood beams. The beams have been designed to directly support the roof and the ceiling. Ceiling ties are not required. Smoke detectors are required in rooms used for sleeping. A carbon monoxide detector is required within this building. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
