(CARING SMILES, LLC) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase and in-lieu of fire-resistance-rated corridors within this tenant space. Application for inspection to determine the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for an 11,332 square foot tenant located within an existing 69,561 square foot building. The new tenant will be a dental clinic. The former tenant was also a dental clinic with a Certificate of Occupancy being issued under permit BLD05-00470. This tenant space is separated from the rest of the building with 1-hr fire-resistance-rated fire barrier walls per the “separated uses” concept of the 2003 IBC. The “non-separated uses” concept applies to spaces located within this tenant space. This tenant space, including the medical gas room, is required to be maintained in compliance with the 2003 IBC and other applicable codes in effect at the time. No more than 5 persons within this tenant space are allowed to be incapable of self-preservation at any time. No new work is authorized under this permit except for minor work needed to correct noncompliant conditions. Compliance is required with the items listed in the plan review report under Code Notes because noncompliance with these items is believed to constitute a distinct hazard to life or property. No change of occupancy classification is allowed under this permit. The fire sprinkler system is required to be maintained in compliance with NFPA 13 as regulated by the Fire Department. **CJW**
