(THE VILLAGE CHARTER SCHOOL) This building if fire sprinklered to meet the exception for no rated corridors. This is a non-separated use facility. This tenant improvement will include a change in occupancy. CUP15-00059 restricts the occupant load of this building to 150 occupants. The life safety requirements are based on the actual occupant loads per IBC. Scope of work to include a new fire sprinkler and alarm system, new nonbearing separation wall in class room 109A and 110. A new storage area will be created in room 123. The Building Official signed an agreement not to require an additional drinking fountain as the CUP limited the occupant load of the building to 150 occupants. Lighting and mechanical modifications in class room 109A and 110 to meet new layout. Modifications to existing suspended ceiling to accommodate new walls. This building is fully Fire Sprinklered with an approved Fire Alarm system. Any alterations or modifications to the buildings Fire Sprinkler or Fire Alarm system WILL REQUIRE A SEPARATE PERMIT and shall be installed per NFPA 13 & NFPA 72 as regulated by the Boise Fire Department. **ajs**

*Per Scott Arellano* TCO is authorized with interior exit signage completion and structural field inspector verification of signage. Exterior exit discharge lighting shall be completed prior to final sign off.

Troy Cobbley - I actually performed two inspections here today. The first inspection I noted that I need verification that the fire alarm system has been activated, all ceiling tile installed and all exit signs/emergency lights/exit discharge lights installed and functional.
Upon my return visit in the afternoon I found tha the fire alarm system is now active but ceiling tile and lights have not been completed. Per electrician the lights will not be finished until tomorrow afternoon.

Fire life-safety inspection for new charter school. Many EM lights not operating, including all exit discharge lights. Contractor should check the plans for all indicated EM lights and repair/replace as needed. Fire extinguishers are OK, EVAC plans are not posted. There should be a ceiling in the main electrical room (pendant sprinkler). Exit door hardware looks OK, however there is a gate panic pad that needs to be repaired to make it easier to open the gate. The Fire Dept. should be requested to come out and confirm that the keys in the Knox Box will open up the main entry door. Fire alarm system testing is completed, however off site monitoring is nat active yet, since there is work going on the building that will produce dust, thus causing unwanted alarms. Fire alarm monitoring wil be confirmed at final inspection.
Final fire life-safety inspection will be required prior to occupancy. Please schedule a fina lfir inspection when all the discrepancies above have been corrected.

Project is not ready for a final yet. I went over life safety requirements with the general contractor. I noted that there is not water to the building yet and the fire sprinkler system is not complete. The fire alarm system appears to be partially installed and also is not connected to the not installed fire sprinkler riser. Walls have been framed but without coverings and doors.
