(THE AFTON – PHASE I – CONCRETE PODIUM) (DRH14-00262) The fire sprinkler system (NFPA 13 below and above the podium per the “Special Design Standards for Type V Construction” ordinance) will be used for story and height increase. To construct Phase I of a multi-phase mixed use project. All other drawings are for reference only. After all phases are completed, uses are expected to include parking on the 1st and 2nd stories, live/work units on the 1st and 2nd stories, apartments on the 1st story, two story apartments on the 2nd and 3rd stories, and 1 story apartments on the 3rd, 4th , 5th, and 6th stories. Work under this permit is to include two-way post tensioned concrete slab floors with drop caps and concrete beams (where needed) supported by concrete columns and ordinary shear walls. The podium level (floor of 3rd story) will be a maximum 12 inch thick post tensioned concrete slab having a 3-hr fire-resistance-rating. The floor of the 2nd story will be an 8 inch thick post tensioned concrete slab. Special Inspection is required for soils, concrete including post tensioning, masonry, steel including welding, etc. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. This permit does not establish a Certificate of Occupancy for any portion of this building. Fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits are required in conjunction with future building permits. **CJW**
