(ST. LUKE’S – NURSES’ STATION – 9TH STORY) The fire sprinkler system is used for high-rise and for occupancy. To create a new 135 square foot nurses’ station where a nourishing station and a portion of an equipment storage room were formerly located. The equipment storage room will be reduced to a floor area of about 148 square feet. The nurses’ station will be open to the existing corridor. A new wall required to comply as a 1-hr fire-resistance-rated corridor wall and as a 1-hr fire barrier as required for an incidental use separation will be constructed. Work is to include gypsum board soffits, a suspended acoustical ceiling, millwork, and finishes. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
