Permit is to remodel an existing Basement Storage area under the Garage into a Bedroom with a walk in closet, storage closet, furnace closet and a hallway to an existing door to the exterior. The existing window and door are being replaced in the current opening widths. The window may need to be lengthened in order to meet ingress/egress requirements (no steps are allowed to make the existing window meet the minimum distance from the floor). . Engineering will be required if either opening is widened due to the Garage being supported by that wall. No exterior work or grading is proposed.
