(ABU GAMES – ASSEMBLY ROOMS) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase and for fire area. The fire sprinkler system was installed throughout this building under FIR14-00222. To change the occupancy classifications of a portion of an existing 44,771 square foot 2 story building (33,413 sq. ft. 1st story and 11,358 sq. ft. 2nd story) to A-3 assembly use. On the 1st story, a 2,489 square foot area and a 1,383 square foot area will be used as a gaming assembly area with tables and chairs. ABU Games will still occupy the entire building but the public will have access only to the retail sales room, gaming rooms, and the associated restrooms and circulation routes. Exit signs, emergency lighting, panic hardware, and ventilation are required as redlined on the drawings. Fire walls are no longer required to be maintained because the 1-hr fire-resistance-rating of the construction will be upgraded or restored. The height of storage shall not exceed 8 feet. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**

Went over completed work and what still needs to be addressed. Tenant aslo to schedule a fire/life/safety final to see what outstanding issues need addressed. A meeting with Steve from K2 construction has been set up for Monday May 8th. to go over 1hr. construction for type V-A construction to eliminate fire walls.

Check status/scheduling of project. K2 Construction has done some door infill and added some doors. Per K2 this was there scope of work only. I called and left a message with Gabriel Wilson, owner of ABU games but have not received a call back as of 4:40pm today. Will stop by tomorrow and issue a correction notice if needed.
