(WHITEWATER APARTMENTS – COVERED OUTDOOR POOL KITCHEN AND WATERCRAFT SHOP BUILDING) (DRH16-00313) (4-21-17 PLAN MODIFICATION TO CHANGE THE LOCATION OF THE DOCK AT THE BEACH AND TO MODIFY THE PATH OF TRAVEL TO IT. THE ROUTE ACCESSIBLE TO THE DISABLED WILL BE RELOCATED AND A STAIRWAY WILL BE CONSTRUCTED.) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. To construct a new 679 square foot covered outdoor pool kitchen and watercraft shop building to serve an existing apartment complex. Demolition work includes removing the pool deck trellises, the kids pool, and some concrete pool deck at the North end of an existing swimming pool enclosure to make way for the new construction. Work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete slabs on grade, wood framed exterior walls with structural wood sheathing, wood roof trusses with structural wood sheathing, standing seam metal roofing, hardboard board and batten siding, hardboard trim, an overhead exterior door, an exterior side-hinged swinging door, exterior windows, work benches, heavy timber beams and columns, galvanized corrugated metal roofing, rough-sawn horizontal cedar barn siding, and kitchen counters. Special Inspection is required for concrete and soils. The covered outdoor pool kitchen will have a refrigerator, a sink, an ice maker, a gas grill, gas cook-top burners, and counter work areas. The kitchen is required to be accessible to the disabled. Gas fire pits will be installed in other areas of the swimming pool enclosure area. A new 6 foot tall swimming pool enclosure fence with gate will be installed around the expanded pool deck area to maintain the existing swimming pool enclosure around the entire swimming pool deck. A concrete sidewalk accessible to the disabled with a running slope no steeper than 1 unit vertical to 20 units horizontal will be constructed leading from boathouse building to a dock access ramp and dock that will NOT be installed under this permit. A retaining wall will be constructed at one edge of a portion of the sidewalk. The structural design for the retaining wall is a deferred submittal item. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
