Demolition work, including removing the tiered concrete slabs within the former audience seating area, was done under permit BLD16-03579. To construct a new 2nd story within the former Summit Meeting Room and to do other related shell work. This permit does not establish a Certificate of Occupancy for any portion of the building. The tenant improvement work will be done under a separate future permit. Work is to include reinforced concrete footings, underground plumbing, steel columns, steel beams, concrete slabs on grade, masonry walls, masonry shearwalls, reinforced concrete floors over a metal deck, steel stair stringers, tube steel support columns for the stairway, stairway treads, steel stud walls, and metal roof decks. Special Inspection is required for soils, concrete, masonry, welding, bolting, epoxy rebar dowel anchors, epoxy anchors, expansion anchors, screw anchors, sprayed fire-resistant materials, and intumescent fire-resistant coatings. The soils report is a deferred submittal item. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to be maintained in compliance with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to be maintained in compliance with NFPA 72 during construction as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
