(SWIMMING POOL AND SPA – NEXT TO CLUB HOUSE BUILDING – ARBORETUM AT BARBER STATION APARTMENTS) (DRH15-00381 AND DRH15-00490) To construct an in-ground concrete swimming pool and a separate spa. The water surface area of the swimming pool will be about 855 square feet, the pool perimeter will be about 111 lineal feet, and the volume will be about 25,933 gallons. The water surface area of the spa will be about 95 square feet, the spa perimeter will be about 36 lineal feet, and the volume will be about 1,551 gallons. Work is to include a reinforced concrete gunite swimming pool (pool walls and pool floor), a concrete stairway to serve the pool, two pool ladders, handrails, a pool lift accessible to the disabled, and pool equipment. Work is to include a reinforced concrete gunite spa (spa walls and spa floor), a concrete stairway to serve the spa, handrails, concrete bench around the inside spa perimeter, a transfer wall accessible to the disabled, and spa equipment. Special Inspection is required for soils and for concrete. The club house building was constructed under permit BLD16-01060. The pool deck and fence with 2 egress gates to enclose the swimming pool and spa area were covered under that permit. The pool and/or spa are not allowed to be filled with water until the fence is completed. The pool and/or spa are not allowed to be used until this permit is finaled and a Certificate of Occupancy for the pool, for the spa, and for the fenced pool and spa enclosure is issued. Compliance with the 2012 ISPSC is allowed in lieu of the 2012 IBC for the swimming pool and spa. The restrooms, showers, drinking fountains, and pump room that will serve the swimming pool and spa fenced area are located within the club house building that was constructed under permit BLD16-01060. The pool and/or spa shall not be used until the work authorized under permit BLD16-01060 (i.e. the club house building) is completed and a Certificate of Occupancy is issued under that permit. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. **CJW**
