(WAXED LLC – SOUTH END OF THE BASEMENT) This building does not have a fire sprinkler system. Application for inspection to determine the requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy for a 931 square foot tenant space located in the basement of an existing building to be used for waxing, facials, treatments, and massages. Harmful chemicals are not allowed to be used. This tenant is not a medical office. No one is allowed to be rendered incapable of self-preservation. This tenant space was previously part of the other tenant space located within this building on the 1st story and in the basement. Egress is directly to the outside to an exterior stairway that leads up to grade. No new work is authorized under this permit except guards, handrails, and minor work that may be needed to correct noncompliant conditions that may exist. Painting, carpeting, counter tops, shelves, and similar finish work are not required to have a building permit. New work is required to comply with the 2012 IBC and with all other applicable codes and ordinances. Compliance is required with the items listed in the plan review report under Referenced Code Sections because noncompliance with these items is believed to constitute a distinct hazard to life and safety. **CJW**

Surface mount slide bolt lock on exterior exit door from tenant space to outside stairs needs to be removed. Fire extinguisher needs inspected/serviced and tagged accordingly. Emergency egress ligh that is located in the corridor of the tenant space needs to be serviced, emergrncy light was in-operable at time of inspection.
