The building was previously occupied by K-Mart and subdivided into smaller tenant spaces under shell/core permit BLD17-01449. Work to include: demo of interior non-structural partitions; new interior non-bearing walls; new entry vestibule doors; new exterior doors; new break room plumbing; new lighting and power; mechanical; and new interior finishes in compliance with Ch. 8 of the 2012 IBC. Special inspections required per attached Form 310. Separate racking permit required for any racking (including outdoor) over 8’-0” tall. The fire sprinkler system is used for unlimited area of the building AND to allow 3-hr fire barrier walls in lieu of fire walls. The fire sprinkler system is NOT allowed to be used for building area increase for A Occupancies. Any alterations to the sprinkler system will require a separate permit and shall comply with NFPA 13 as regulated by the fire department. **JAR**

A temporary is being given for the life safety until the exiting has been corrected. Plans are currently in review but a temporary exiting plan has been approved and implemented. Need the sidewall sprinkler heads installed when canopy is built.

Justin and I discussed the issue of incorrect pipe sizing in this tenant space as shown on FIR17-00593. The main shown as 4" is actually 3". As per discussion with Scott Arellano the future FIR permit for the dry system (or separate submittal) will need to address this issue with calculations that verify the system does meet minimum code requirments.

We went over sprinkler issues such as the coverage under the stair and at the entry vestible. We discussed the west side exiting that is being resubmitted and per the review comments a manual fire alarm system is required as per the review comments.
