Egress is directly to the outside at grade. No new work is authorized under this permit except for minor work that may be needed to correct noncompliant conditions that may exist. Separate permits are required for plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work. Based on a floor area of 525 square feet, at least 315 cfm of exhaust to the outside is required for a hair salon. A source of make-up air is also required. Painting, carpeting, counter tops, shelves, and similar finish work are not required to have a building permit.
