(BILLBOARD SIGN) (CUP17-00077) To relocate a 40’- 0” tall billboard sign having a 10’- 6” high x 22’- 8” wide face on two sides (28’- 0” from grade to the underside of the sign). The new location will be on the North side of Fairview just East of N. Wildwood Street. The sign was removed from its former location (i.e. the Southeast corner of Fairview and Shamrock) under permit BLD17-02086. Work includes a 3’- 0” diameter by 17’- 6” deep concrete footing (or 8’- 0” by 4’- 0” by 11’- 0” deep reinforced concrete cube footing), a 20” diameter steel column (or 3’- 0” diameter steel column if the cube footing is used), a 10” diameter torsion pipe, steel gusset plates, steel beam uprights, steel sign stringers, steel beams, steel catwalks, steel guards, safety cable, a steel ladder, steel bolts, and two face panels. Special Inspection is required to verify the excavation size, for bolting, and for any field welding. Components are required to be shop fabricated by an approved fabricator (including welds). The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. All attachments are required to be sufficient to resist gravity, wind, and seismic loads with appropriate safety factors considered.
