(ST. LUKE’S – BI-PLANE IMAGING AREA – GROUND STORY [BELOW 1ST STORY] – NEAR CENTER OF BUILDING) The fire sprinkler system is used for high rise and for occupancy. To convert an existing 1,765 area used for the Men’s and Women’s locker room and part of the corridor into a Bi-plane imaging room with ancillary spaces and equipment. Work to include: demolition of existing interior non-bearing walls and removing a portion of the concrete floor slab; new interior nonbearing walls; new rated interior walls for care suite; new concrete floor slab with ramps to existing floor; new imaging equipment and related work; electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work; suspended acoustical ceilings, and interior finishes in compliance with Ch. 8 of the 2015 IBC. 2-hr shaft enclosures for stairways, 2-hr mechanical shafts, 1-hr smoke barriers creating smoke compartments, smoke partitions creating I-2 rated corridors, and smoke partitions creating care suites are required to be maintained. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. Specials Inspections required per attached Form 310. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 (including quick-response heads installed within the remodeled areas) and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **JAR**
