(ALL VALLEY FIRE – EXPANDED 2ND STORY – QUARRY BUSINESS PARK – NEAR SOUTH END) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase, for story increase, for fire area, and for fire flow. To construct a 684 square foot addition to the existing 1,253 square foot 2nd story within a tenant space having 4,020 square feet on the 1st story. After the expansion, the 2nd story will have a total floor area of about 1,937 square feet and this tenant space will have a total floor area of about 5,957 square feet. Work is to include reinforced concrete footings, parallel strand wood columns, wood shear walls, hold downs, laminated veneer wood beams, wood I joists, wood ledgers, wood structural decking, interior walls, stair stringers, and stair treads. Portions of the existing concrete floor slab will be removed for the installation of new footings. Special Inspection is required for soils and concrete (including anchors post-installed in hardened concrete). The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. This permit is intended to establish a new Certificate of Occupancy for the entire tenant space including the new 684 square foot 2nd story floor area. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
