Permit is to complete the envelope and tenant improvement phase (Package II) for a 9-story shell & core office building with an occupied roof and mechanical penthouse on the roof level. The building has a total floor area of about 172,610 square feet (approximately 18,990 square feet 1st story, approximately 19,500 square feet second story, and 19,160 square feet 3rd through 9th story). The building has an occupied roof that is not included in the building area. The concrete and structural steel phase was done under permit BLD19-02122 (Package I). Special Inspection is required for concrete, steel (including welding and bolting), fire-resistance coatings, fire stopping, anchors post-installed in hardened concrete, and smoke control system and was provided under Package I. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. A separate permit is required for the fire sprinkler system and shall comply with NFPA 13. The fire alarm system requires a separate permit and is required to comply with NFPA 72, including the smoke detection system, as regulated by the Fire Department. Prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Completion, a commissioning report for the shell and core shall be submitted to and accepted by the code official.
