(DELTA DENTAL OF IDAHO – BUILDING A/B - BUILDING REMODEL AND ADDITION) (DRH19-00054) (2-26-20 PLAN MODIFICATION TO ADD A NATURAL GAS STANDBY GENERATOR ON SITE TO PROVIDE POWER IN THE EVENT OF A POWER OUTAGE FROM THE PUBLIC UTILITY. WORK IS TO INCLUDE A 24 FEET 8 INCHES BY 15 FEET 4 INCHES, 10 FOOT TALL MASONRY FENCE ENCLOSURE OPEN TO THE SKY WITH STEEL GATES TO MATCH THE TRASH ENCLOSURE PREVIOUSLY APPROVED, A CONCRETE SLAB ON GRADE WITHIN THE GENERATOR ENCLOSURE, AN UNDERGROUND CONDUITS AND ELECTRICAL CABLES, A TRANSFER SWITCH, GROUNDING SYSTEMS, A RELOCATED SIDEWALK, EXPANDED PARKING LOT WITH ADDED PARKING SPACES AND REDUCED LANDSCAPING, ETC.) The fire sprinkler system is used for building area increase, for fire flow, and for code trade-offs. To remodel an existing 11,586 square foot building (“Building A”) and to construct a 13,638 square foot building addition (“Building B”). The two “buildings” are considered to be one building because the circulation structure that connects the two “buildings” does not comply as a pedestrian walkway. For the remodel to the existing 11,586 square foot building (i.e. “Building A”), work is to include interior nonbearing walls, remodeled restrooms, a new single-user toilet room, interior doors, interior windows, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board ceilings and soffits, millwork, and finishes. A new vestibule addition and roof feature addition will be constructed. Aluminum composite panels and metal fascia will be used as the exterior finishes for the additions. For the 13,638 square foot building addition (i.e. “Building B”), work is to include concrete footings, concrete foundations, concrete slab on grade, steel columns, masonry exterior walls, precast concrete walls, exterior wood stud bearing and shear walls, exterior stucco, CMU veneer, metal fascia, aluminum composite panels, expansion joint between “buildings”, wood truss roof, wood roof beams, metal awnings, roof top equipment screens, rigid insulation installed on top of the roof deck, membrane roof covering, exterior doors and windows, interior nonbearing walls, two toilet/shower rooms accessible to the disabled, interior doors, interior windows, suspended acoustical ceilings, gypsum board ceilings and soffits, millwork, and finishes. Special Inspection is required for soils, welding, bolting, and anchors post-installed in hardened concrete. A masonry trash enclosure with steel gates and steel fences with steel gates will also be constructed. The work is required to comply with the approved drawings, with the structural design, with the plan review report, and with all applicable codes and ordinances. The fire sprinkler system is required to comply with NFPA 13 and the fire alarm system is required to comply with NFPA 72 as regulated by the Fire Department. Separate fire sprinkler permits and fire alarm permits shall be obtained prior to beginning any modification or installation work on such systems. **CJW**
