To provide mechanical and electrical upgrades to the third & fifth floors and install new structural support base for a new chiller unit on the fourth level roof and all mechanical & electrical components to support the new systems. Work to include demolition of interior nonbearing walls and construction of new nonbearing walls of noncombustible one-hour construction to create new mechanical rooms, offices and storage. Under sprinkler ommissions allowed in section 3804 ('91 UBC) & Letter of agreement on file, the third floor will have a 1-hour occupancy separation wall with protection of penetrations & openings for all areas not a part of the telecommunications room(s) as indicated on plans. Telecomm Room is not sprinkled and has a complying smoke detection system throughout as regulated by the Fire Dept. The fifth floor is noted as being fully sprinkled. All per approved plans & agreement on file of Aug. 20, 1992.
