River Walk Apartments * To install fire sprinklers and standpipe system per NFPA 13-1999, 14-2000 & UFC-1997 Standards, in the parking garage (BLD00-03519), building section #1 per NFPA 13R-1999, 14-2000 & UFC-1997 Standards (BLD01-00531), building section #2 per NFPA 13R-1999, 14-2000 & UFC-1997 Standards (BLD01-000-1), building section #3 per NFPA 13R-1999, 14-2000 & UFC-1997 Standards (BLD01-0000). Two hour area separation are to be constructed to divide this apartment building into separate buildings (per UBC).
Section #1 is three stories, 33 units, above the three hour occupancy separation per UBC Section 311.2.2.1. The first floor is 9.837 ft/2, the second is 9,837 ft/2, the third floor is 9,837 ft/2. with 1,500 ft/2 for mezzanines.
Section #2 is three stories, 12 units, above the three hour occupancy separation per UBC Section 311.2.2.1. The first floor is 3,620 ft/2, the second is 3,620 ft/2, the third floor is 3,620 ft/2, and 500 ft/2. for mezzanines.
Section #3 is three stories, 30 units, above the three hour occupancy separation per UBC Section 311.2.2.1. The first floor is 9,230 ft/2, the second is 9,230 ft/2, the third floor is 9,230 ft/2 with 1,365 ft/2 for mezzanines.
NOTE: This building is fire sprinklered with a NFPA 13R system, with an approved alternate for installation of sprinkler heads at each side of area separation wall, to replace doors across exterior exit balconies. All work per the approved plans, attached comment list and the UFC. System installation shall be per related/correlated and adopted NFPA pamphlets, as regulated by the fire department. Underground fire line supply was installed under: FIR01-00159. Grading permit is: BLD00-03479. *JWA*
