The project is to modify the existing manual and automatic hospital fire alarm system within both TI areas, with new initiating devices and strobes, connected to the existing fire alarm panel #10 which now serves floors B through 4 of this wing, on a new SLC circuit #2. The alarm system includes a manual alarm system, fire sprinkler system monitoring, corridor area smoke detection for release of smoke dampers penetrating corridor walls, induct detectors for release of smoke dampers in other wall, patient room smoke detectors and strobes. Strobes are to be connected to the existing NAC power extender panel connected to FACP #10. Audible alarms are provided by the existing paging system per prior agreement under FIR99-00596. Duct detectors for HVAC are reportedly existing and not included in these permits.
