(Lowell Scott Middle School Remodel) - To install 3 complete wet pipe fire sprinkler protection systems throughout this facility, which includes approximately 300'-0" of 6" C-900 and D.I. underground and remote (accessible) FDC; to comply with Life Safety upgrade requirements. Other building upgrades includes classroom remodels, area separations, new mechanical systems, new fire alarm, new handicapped restrooms and misc. other improvements addressed in the building permit BLD02-00937 (which this fire permit is attached). Fire sprinklers are being used for special approval as an alternate to comply with the 2000 IBC for Area and Exit provisions, per T. Hogland, (letter attached to building permit plans). All fire sprinkler installation and work must comply with NFPA 13-1999, the UFC-1997, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These review comments, approved/stamped plans, permit and fire inspection signoff card are required to be on site at all times, as a condition of this work scope, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
