To provide two duct smoke detectors in the supply and return ducts for release of fire/smoke dampers. The associated building permit (BLD 02-01077) is to remodel of existing office space in a 18,000 sq.ft. building to expand the existing 1437 sq ft Biolab by remodeling the 680 sq ft office to create one 2117 sq ft "Lab Block" per approved plans on file. Work will include, construction of a one hour occupancy separation wall, installation of two new Exhaust hoods, installation of new counters, relocation of a one-hour fire assembly door, Miscellaneous related interior finishes. NOTE: This building is fully fire sprinklered to allow for increases in hazardous materials. All alterations or modifications to the existing fire sprinkler system shall be per NFPA #13 as regulated by the fire department.
