Description
FRESCA MEXICAN FOODS - To install a new fire alarm system for this building. The system will include a new addressable FA control panel, monitoring of the partial-coverage fire sprinklers, a fire booster pump, separate detection and selective a/v alarms for the ammonia refrigeration system, and offsite alarm monitoring.

The associated building permit (BLD 02-01925) is to construct a 7,781 sq. ft. one story, Type VN, fully fire sprinklered freezer addition to the existing facility. Other work includes the upgrade of a two hour area separation wall in the existing building and all site improvements, paving and landscaping per approved plans and attachments. The existing building south of the area wall and addition will be fully fire sprinklered with the area north of the area wall to be sprinklered per the upgrade agreement with the Boise Fire Dept. Dave Miller. Fire sprinklers used for area. No occupancy can be permitted until all conditions from the Fire Dept. and Mechanical Division have been satisfied for the ammonia system per attached requirements.

The associated fire sprinkler permit FIR02-00385 to install a new 236'-0" of 8", C-900 PVC underground supply from the property line to a new 142 ft/2 Fire Pump House. To install 6", C-900 PVC underground supply from the Fire Pump House into an existing building (Room "C") for a new combination riser. To abandon the existing 6"underground supply feeding from Meadowland Drive and remove the existing remote FDC (new one to be located off the Fire Pump House). To connect the existing Double Interlock Pre-action system riser protecting the existing freezer onto the new riser supply (in Room "C"). To install a 1,500 gpm, 100 HP fire pump, controller, and pressure maintenance jockey pump, controller and related/required appurtenances and to install fire sprinkler protection throughout the entire facility. This project is Phase 1 of 3 phases; of which the final results will be to completely fire sprinkler the entire facility, meeting UBC requirements for area increase. (This building was originally constructed in Ada County and later annexed into Boise City).
