MK PLAZA I - This permit is to modify (plugging, relocating and adding) sprinklers within the TI areas on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floors. Modifications include replacing some (not all) existing standard spray heads with large orifice, extended coverage heads, as has apparently been done previously in other selected areas, outside the current TI areas. This permit is limited to the modifications shown on the sprinkler plans. Although the building permit includes the basement, no sprinkler work is included under this permit on the basement level.
The fire sprinkler system work shall comply with NFPA 13-1999, attached review comment and conditions list, as regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, to provide witness of compliance verification of minimum code.
This permit is attached to building permit BLD02-02458, which is to remodel areas in the basement (about 1,000 square feet), on the 2nd floor (about 6,600 square feet), on the 3rd floor (about 5,000 square feet), and on the 5th floor (about 5,800 square feet) within an existing 111,000 square foot 6 story building. Work is to include demolition of interior nonbearing walls, repair to an existing access floor system, and repair to finishes all per approved drawings and plan review conditions on file.
