CIVIC PLAZA PA-3 APARTMENTS - This permit is to install a new manual fire alarm system and single/multiple station smoke detection in dwelling units, as part of the construction of the R-1 apartment building. The new alarm system will cover the existing 3-story and basement parking structure and the new 4-story apartment and retail building. The manual alarm system includes pull stations at all exits, audible alarms in all building areas, visual annunciation in common and public use areas and hearing impaired dwelling units, elevator recall functions, and monitoring of the fire sprinkler system and fire pump.
The associated building permit (BLD 02-00090) is to construct a 152 unit, 4-levels of R-1 apartments on an existing three story, Type S-3 parking garage with a grade level leasing office and community center laundry room and storage facility for the apartment complex. Work to include landscaping spine and temporary (grade) parking lot. * PLAN MODIFICATION * Change exterior curtain walls to standard walls, with openable windows and grills over A/C units, remodel first floor leasing office space, move fire pump room and emergency generator room, install PTAC units in each habitable room.
