(CHINA BLUE BAR) To modify, add and relocate fire sprinkler protection and piping for the remodel of an existing 18,348-ft/2 (5,565-ft/2 basement, 8,006-ft/2 first floor, 4,777-ft/2 second floor) for a new bar. Fire sprinkler work is related to complete protection for this tenant throughout, including basement and related elevated platforms, and cavities relating to the T.I. and existing portions of previously sprinklered areas. The building is fire sprinklered for story increase and because the fire area exceeds 5,000 square feet and the occupant load exceeds 300. The fire sprinkler system shall comply with NFPA 13-1999 as regulated by the Fire Department. All fire sprinklers and related appurtenance within this permit work scope shall meet current NFPA 13-1999 standards, comply with the IFC-2000 and attached review comment and conditions list, which is regulated by the Fire Chief. These notes, permit and fire "Inspection Card" are required to be on site as a condition of this work, in order to provide witness verification of compliance in meeting minimum code standards. Shell sprinklers for un-sprinklered areas of the building are currently being installed under FIR03-00368. A demolition permit was also issued under FIR03-00325, which must be completed prior to completion (is not to completed to date). This permit is attached to building permit: BLD03-00830.
